Meet our staff...
Jim Sipula
Head Professional
and General Manager
Jim is a 1971 graduate of Western Illinois University, Macomb.
He returned to Pine Hills Golf Course in 1974 and became a
golf professional. He has been a PGA member since 1979
and worked from 1974-1990 as assistant to Pro Mike Sipula.
Jim became the head professional in 1990 following the
semi-retirement of Mike Sipula.
Bill Sipula
Club House Manager
Bill Sipula manages the club house.
He is a two-time winner of the
Pine Hills Invitational and holds the amateur
course record at Pine Hills, shooting a 61!
He is a five time winner of the annual club championship.
Ellawyn Sipula
Matriach of Pine Hills
Affectionately known as
"Ma"...
Ellawyn has a long history with Pine Hills.
Wife of Pro Mike Sipula, she worked at his side for
years, and continues her presence in the clubhouse daily!
John Sipula Jr.
Golf Course Superintendent
John "Slim" Sipula has been working at the golf course
since the age of 16. A fine amateur golfer, he became
Golf Course Superintendent in 1994 after many years
as the assistant to his father.

Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
John Sr. worked on the golf course from an early age.
He became golf course superintendent in the late 1960's
and served in this capacity until 1994 when his son took
over the number one spot. A top amateur golfer in the state,
John Sr. carries a two handicap.
As you can see, Pine Hills is a
family owned and operated business. The entire Sipula
